PROKOPLANTAE, el show
Dos Seres Vivos. Ella, producto de la sociedad actual, y El, una Planta olvidada de ciudad. Al encontrarse se descubren como dependientes uno del otro, incapaces de sobrevivir separados en el Concreto; ayudandose a existir compartiéndose su propia naturaleza. Al final la fusión es inevitable y sin marcha atras.
Espectaculo Performatic Contemporaneo de Movimiento que utiliza Técnicas Circenses como Cable Tenso y Cuerda Aérea, combinandolo con Danza Contemporánea, Danza Butoh y Teatro Físico; capaz de poder ser realizado tanto en Escenarios Efímeros No Convencionales o como en Sala de Teatro.
Experimento que promueve la Relación Necesaria que debemos tener con La Naturaleza que nos rodea.
PROKOPAS Y PLANTAE, las artistas
Agrupación conformada por Courtney Prokopas y Circo Plantae, que desde 2015 convivido como artistas colaboradores, ya que por medio del Equilibrio en Cable Tenso, técnica en común, han lograda conocerse y decidido crear piezas performáticas circenses, lo que les ha generado preguntas sobre la relación de la Naturaleza y la Humanidad Actual, buscando generar impulsos de Consciencia Colectiva y Ambiental.
Siendo dos Artistas que viven en dos Latitudes diferentes han logrado compaginar mezclando sus raíces y esencias del lugar de donde cada uno proviene, lo que ha hecho una fusión de estilos diversos y llena de frescura.
PROKOPLANTAE, the show
Two living beings - one, a product of modern society, the other, a forgotten plant in a constructed world. The two are discovered as dependent on each other, unable to survive apart in man's constructs. Attempting to help one another to exist is that which binds. All crescendos with a forward march of a complex and inevitable coalescence.
A live contemporary performance involving techniques such as tight-wire and aerial acrobatics combined with contemporary dance, Butoh, and physical theater. Able to be performed in both traditional and non-traditional performance spaces.
An experiment that fosters the necessary relationship that the constructed world and natural world must have.
PROKOPAS and PLANTAE, the artists
Courtney Prokopas and Circo Plantae have been in collaboration since 2015. Their shared thematics and endeavours of independent research and circus disciplines brought them together and have solidified the foundation of their creative partnership. Their working impulse stems from questioning the relationship of nature and humanity today and seeking to generate pulses of collective and environmental consciousness.
Being two artists who are from different latitudes, they have managed to mix both their roots and essences to usher in a fusion. These diverse styles form a novel melange rife with cultural fractals, slights, and criticisms.
